This work addreses a recent experiment performed at GANIL, which aims to study the fission of neutron-rich actinides produced in fusion and multi-nucleon transfer reactions. A 238U beam was sent into the MAYA active target, where fusion and transfer-induced fission reactions occured with 12C nuclei of the gas filling the MAYA volume. Three walls of Si detectors covering the back side of the detector were used as a telescope to measure the target-like transfer partner and identify the fissioning system and its excitation energy. This setup provides a three-dimensional reconstruction of the trajectories of the two fission-fragments, and it makes possible to investigate transfer- and fusion-induced fission reactions as a function of the energy available in the entrance channel. In this seminar, the measurements performed in MAYA will be discussed, as well as the analysis of the data, and the experimental results. Following the conclusions of this experiment, futher use of active targets as innovative setups for fission investigations will be discussed.

Benoît speak of the 6Li + alpha scattering experiment that was done at IPNO in July 2015. ACTAR TPC will be presented along with the goals of the experiment and some first results.
