PILGRIM is a Multi-Reflections Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (MR-ToF-MS) which has been developed at GANIL for the S3 collaboration to study the ground properties of exotic nuclei, and is currently being tested at LPC Caen. MR-ToF devices have been reported to achieve high-resolution mass separation (with resolving powers in excess of 1E5) and high-precision mass measurement (relative uncertainty down to a few 1E-7) within a few tens of milliseconds. These features make them very interesting to ensure beam purity and measure masses of short-lived exotic nuclei in next-generation nuclear facilities. In the future, a copy of PILGRIM could also be used in DESIR as a beam purifier in front of the double Penning trap PIPERADE.
