SUPERFLUIDITY AND GIANT RESONANCES

Elias Khan (IPN-Orsay)

Maison d'hôte du GANIL-11h

Current experimental efforts are devoted to measure the giant monopole
resonance in unstable nuclei. What can we learn from such a
measurement: pairing effects, isospin dependence of the nuclear
incompressibility ?

Two particles transfer reactions are also a probe for studying nuclear
superfluidity, using pairing vibrations. Exotic giant resonances, such
as the giant pairing vibration (GPV) will also be analysed with an update

on both the experimental and theoretical status.
