The high spin states in 137La, 139Pr & 141Pm have been studied using heavy-ion
in-beam g-ray spectroscopy in the Gamma Detector Array (GDA) and the Indian
National Gamma Array (INGA) facilities. The level schemes have been
developed to high spin and excitation. The spin-parity assignments have been
confirmed for most of the levels. A surprising alternating parity level sequence in
137La has been explained within the shell model framework. It’s been generally
observed that the different parts of the level structure could be explained using
different theoretical frameworks. An attempt has been made to extract the lifetime
of the levels from the prompt-delayed g-g coincidence data and have been
compared with the shell model predictions. Recent attempt has been made to
extract the lifetime of the medium spin levels in 139Pr and also to the very high
spin triaxial levels using a pulsed beam at INGA. This data is currently being
analysed. The interpretation of these levels also will be discussed.
