The GANIL facility will host the European AGATA germanium array during 2014 and 2015. AGATA will be coupled to the VAMOS spectrometer and/or other available ancillary detectors. In order to elaborate an ambitious scientific program and constrain the mechanical installation, the AGATA collaboration will discuss the scientific programme in 2013. The starting point of the prospective is the call for letters of intents (LoI) sent last October to the community. The LoI for experiments have to be sent to the scientific spokesperson S. Lenzi by the 25th of January 2013.
Following the call for LoI, a dedicated workshop is organised from the 18th to 20th of February 2013 at GANIL. During this workshop, the proposed experiments will be presented to the community and discussed within the collaboration with the goal of identifying common setups. A summary of the physics objectives of the GANIL campaign will then be presented to the spring 2013 meeting of the GANIL Scientific Council.
The workshop will start on February 18th afternoon and will be concluded on the 20th of February at lunch time.
This workshop will be held at the conference room of the GANIL guesthouse. The presentations will be of 10 minutes, ample space will be left for discussions.
