   GANIL is a GIE (Group of Economic interest) created in 1976 between the CEA / DSM and the CNRS / IN2P3

The director and the deputy director are named for 5 years by the Executive Committee, the presidency of which is alternately insured by the CEA / DSM and the CNRS / IN2P3 for a duration of one year.
