TNA GANILEC funding for External Research Teams within the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission
TransNational Access to GANIL under the Integrated Infrastructure Initiative European Nuclear Science and Applications Research (ENSAR)Grant Agreement n° 262010
GANIL is an Infrastructure supported by the European Community through the ENSAR contract in the framework of FP7 Integrated Infrastructure Initiative, for the period from September 1st, 2010 to August 31st, 2014. This contract enables GANIL to reimburse the travel and living expenses of researchers coming to carry out experiments during this period. A priority is given to new users and also young researchers ConditionsThis contribution can be allocated to scientists if they work in an Institution established in a Member State or Associated State (excluding French Laboratories). To be eligible, the experiment must have a spokesperson or a co-spokesperson from an Institution of a Member or Associated State (excluding those from French laboratories), and the majority of the users must work in a country other than France. SupportThe financial contribution covers (partly or completely) the travel and living expenses during the experiment at GANIL. Presently, the accommodation expenses are reimbursed on the basis of original invoices with a maximum of 60,00€ per night (breakfast included). Each meal expense, during the stay at GANIL, is reimbursed on the basis of 15,20€ per meal. The travel expenses on the basis of the original travel tickets. The travel cost must be economic and realistic.
Reimbursement of the travel cost is regulated by the following rules :
Concerning the subsistence allowance, day of arrival and day of departure are counted as one full day. Please, note that the expenses are reimbursed without VAT. How to applyOnly members of experiments approved by the GANIL Selection Panel could obtain a financial contribution. After the approval, the spokesperson is informed (by letter or e-mail) of the acceptation of his application.
Groups proposing Collision Physics experiments are encouraged to ask for financial support if the experiment is an application of Nuclear Physics methods, i.e. with accelerated beams. It is planned that up to 30% of the TNA GANIL budget, within the ENSAR project, will be spent on non-Nuclear Physics experiments. One-page application for financial support should be sent, by the spokesperson to Veronique VANDEVOORDE (accueil@ganil.fr). This form should mention the approved experiment and include the names, nationalities, affiliations and positions of the applicants as well as an estimation of the financial needs.
What to do on arrival at GANILIf the application has been approved and the experiment scheduled between September 2010 and August 2014, each participant in the experiment mentioned in the application form, must come to "Service Accueil" (GANIL Reception Office) to get the financial support. Each user will be directly reimbursed for living expenses. To obtain the reimbursement of travel costs, each participant must send all the original tickets, in the envelop given by the Accueil to:
